Cairns City Electrics is a sole trader electrical contracting business based in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. We are a licensed Queensland electrical contractor. When you use this booking portal, you are providing your personal information directly to us.

We collect your name, mobile number, email address, property address, access notes, and details of the electrical work you require. We collect only what is necessary to process and fulfil your booking.
3. How we use your information
Your information is used solely to confirm and manage your booking, contact you about your job, issue quotes and invoices, and provide you with the electrical service you have requested. If you opt in, we may also contact you from time to time with information about changes to Queensland electrical regulations that may affect your property, or important safety updates relevant to your home or business. We do not use your information for general marketing without your separate consent, and you may unsubscribe from any correspondence at any time by contacting us directly.
4. How your information is stored
Your booking information is transmitted to and stored on secure cloud infrastructure. Specifically: enquiry data is stored in Firebase (Google LLC, USA); SMS notifications are sent via Twilio Inc. (USA); email confirmations are sent via Google Gmail; and if you proceed to payment, your invoice link is processed via Stripe (USA) — no card details ever touch our system. All providers are bound by their own privacy and security policies. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Your data is shared only with the service providers listed in section 4 (Firebase, Twilio, Google Gmail, Stripe) solely to deliver our service to you, and where required by law. These providers do not use your data for their own marketing. If a licensed subcontractor is engaged to assist with your job, this will only occur with your knowledge and consent.
6. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us directly. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Booking terms
Submitting a booking request does not constitute a confirmed booking until we contact you to confirm availability and pricing. All quotes are indicative only and subject to on-site assessment. No payment is charged without your explicit approval. A call-out fee applies for fault finding and diagnostic jobs.
